On being human and expanding - Surrender Part 2

For years, I’ve been so frustrated by the fact that I’ve held two bodies of work…that I am multi-hyphenated, rather than having a singular professional focus.

Has that ever happened to you? Why can’t I just pick one thing to focus on?? This makes us human actually. This is also why I have a bone to pick with industry jargon like “niching down,” but again…I digress. A conversation for another time.

I’ve always believed in storytelling with the physical body and also through the written word.

So why not lean into that a little more? Especially as my body and family dynamics are changing…

I am very, very excited to announce that I am expanding my Content Strategy and Creation services to help individuals, businesses, and organizations grow their work in the world.

I welcome your support to share these services with others. After all, we get by with a little help from our friends. <3

You may or may not know that pre-yoga career, I worked in fundraising and development, community outreach, marketing, and client engagement.

In the last five years, half of my professional time has been devoted to consulting with organizations and businesses on their content strategy and creation, as well as curriculum design. I just never really made that super public.

I’ve worked with fostering agencies, a meditation app, hospitals, and a wildlife clinic in recent years. We’ve raised thousands of dollars, built meaningful relationships, expanded reach and impact, and more through this work. Of course, that’s in addition to all the content creation and creative work that was poured into Yoga Dear, yoga therapy private practice, and my own courses/programs over the years.

When we found out that we are welcoming a new baby in spring 2024, I knew it was time to make some changes. To make space for more of this kind of creative work - storytelling, writing, creative strategy for businesses and organizations - infusing it with the ancient wisdoms. As my teacher shares, we need yoga therapists and healers in every industry, and this idea has been tugging at me for some time.

If you have a business or organization, OR know of someone who is looking for support to grow their business or mission, please write to me and let’s connect. I’m like an outsourced creative director, personal creative counselor, and writer all meshed into one.

As a disclaimer, I do not take “traditional” marketing and writing approaches that are fear based and prey on humans’ psychological needs and anxieties. None of that.

Good storytelling and content creation invites people into the world you are creating with your products and services, while inspiring readers and continuing to elevate consciousness on the planet.

How does that sound?

I’m going to pop the proverbial champagne bottle (but not really because I’m over four months pregnant) and celebrate these new changes and this path that’s opening. It feels so spacious and full of creative possibility, and I’m so eager to work with new clients.

You can read about all of my services and how they can help you on my website or in the few slides attached below. I work on a project basis and on a retainer, and will be taking new clients starting in 2024.

Thank you for celebrating with me in so many ways. And, please write to me to share your life changes and developments. I’ve been reading them from the last email. <3

Know that these letters will not stop…we will be continuing to bring the wisdoms of yoga into modern life just as we always have. Know that my passion is and remains perinatal health, and that I will continue to support this field. And, know that I will still offer group yoga based programs, meditations, and other creative endeavors as they arrive.

Because I can’t help it…I just am a multi-hyphenate and don’t want to put myself in one box. And, I sincerely thank you for help spreading the word about these new expanded offerings. A simple email forward does wonders.

Jai Ma.
With love,
Leanne

P.S. These letters will not change! When I write to you, I think of these letters like “honey paper.” Something sweet that you can read and sip to over tea that [hopefully] inspires the way you move through your days as the Vedas have inspired me. I hope you’ll stick around (no pun intended). <3
