How to cultivate a practice

All too often, we only practice or try and make time for ourselves when times are tough...and then we wonder why the thing doesn't "work" in the moment.

Oh, I can't quiet my mind in meditation...there's just too much going on!

I can't slow down enough for yoga. I need to swing and punch and stomp my emotions out of me!

I'm way too overwhelmed for breathing exercises - they aren't working!

Love, this logic brain thinking is backwards. The Sutras say that yoga is meant to be practiced consistently, over long periods of time and with much patience. This means, we practice when life is flowing and we practice when life is sticky in order to receive the full benefit and gifts of yoga:

Presence.
Awareness.
Creativity.
Trust.
Love.
Magic.
Inner authority.
Grounded in our bodies and hearts always (even in the hard and stressful times).

But, I get it. There are times when we lose our momentum, or our daily rituals feel stale, or we've been knocked sideways, or life won't seem to slow down. This is when we really need to interrupt the patterns. This is when we learn to commit to ourselves.

If this feels like you, I'd love to welcome you to a 21 Day Journey called Cultivating a Practice. Over these 21 days together, we'll celebrate and find ease around the Winter Solstice.

It's exactly like it sounds. 21 Days of simple, daily practice.

And, I know what you're thinking...that sounds great, Leanne, BUT we have the holidays. Hanukkah, Christmas, Winter Solstice, New Year's, etc. etc. Oh, my dear, that is the POINT! These holidays were never meant to be stressful, but to ground us in strength, beauty, wonder, story, re-awakening, and love. Cultivating a Practice will deepen your relationship to the winter holidays and support you in intentionally moving into 2023. This I promise you.

And, yes I know it seems early to be talking about Winter when we're not through Halloween, Samhain, Día de los Muertos and so on...but you and I both know how the end of the year seems to speed up. I know you deserve time for respite, time for you, time for Spirit as you close your 2022.

It's super simple. I'm including the Weekly Practice Calendar in the link above. Each week, you'll receive:

  • A 10 minute meditation practice to complete daily

  • Two 30 minute gentle and/or restorative yoga practices to do twice per week

  • A journaling prompt to begin your week

You'll also receive a 20 minute guided Yoga Nidra meditation to do each Sunday of the 21 Day Journey. Yoga Nidra translates to yogic sleep, and will offer deep rest (like 2-4 hours of your most restful sleep!). You will keep all of these meditations and practices after the journey - they are yours to return to for 90 days after its completion.

Want to join us? Register for Cultivating a Practice here. We have our live kick-off call on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. EST. Yes, a live call and meditation to ensure you have everything you need! We'll also have a live wrap-up call. All are welcome - you may be just starting a yoga practice, seeking to reignite one, or simply to deepen your practice.

*Please invite a friend to join you on this journey! When both of you register before December 10, 2022, you'll each receive $50 off. Just email leanne@leannematullo.com to receive that offering.

Jai Ma.
With love,
Leanne

P.S. I'm including the Nourish practice library in this rate for those who want to jump in early before November 6, 2022. That means 50+ practices that you'll also get to keep in perpetuity.
