the Pivot: retiring the name “Yoga Dear” and where I’m going next.

Many of you know by now that Yoga Dear started as a beautiful brick and mortar studio in central Pennsylvania. Beautiful physically, but more so energetically. Our orchids in the windows had overflowing roots and blooms because of the people who came in and out of that space everyday. For those who were there, do you remember?

After I sold the studio in 2019, I went into a deep cocoon of sorts. Experimenting, testing, changing. Still a new parent and adjusting to a new life in Rhode Island, I was overwhelmed, sad, and a bit confused at where to go next without the thing I so lovingly created from the ground up. What I’ve learned is that contraction periods can last for YEARS, contrary to the expansion our society demands of us day after day. We’ll have years of being more in a cocoon than out of it, and that is necessary for our evolution and spiritual growth.

I feel that veil lifting, though the path is still unknown. Whose path really is known, though, yes? I want to thank each and every one of you who have been a part of Yoga Dear at every point of the journey these last five years. With that, I want to share that my work is pivoting in profound ways that you may LOVE or that may not be for you anymore and that is okay.

Today, I’m excited to share with you the new Leanne Matullo online space - www.leannematullo.com - and to let you know that I am retiring the name “Yoga Dear.”

I am owning my work as a lifestyle mentor for women’s health, storyteller, strategist + consultant, yoga therapy practitioner, birth doula, and creative entrepreneur. I see how our systems are failing women, children, mothers, and our connection to nature and I’m doing something (a lot) about it.

Moving forward, here’s how we can work together:

  • The Living Lush Mentorship program - a high end, immersive mentorship designed for the woman who craves doing life, health, mothering and business differently - rather than just getting by or managing - with the tools of Ayurveda and yoga philosophy

  • The Embodied Birth + Beyond program - a course that explores the processes of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum through prenatal yoga, primal nature, body wisdom, modern science, community, and empowered knowledge

  • The Afterglow program - a postpartum experience coming in 2022

  • The Narrative Monthly Membership - regular Nourish Yoga + Meditation classes that align with the seasons of nature and Ayurveda to help you understand your body’s story (currently 4 new classes/month + access to 40+ practices in our video library)

  • Consulting, Copywriting, + Curriculum Design - an experience for businesses and organizations that inspire, we’ll work together to design digital storytelling strategy and/or curriculum design for your clients, patients, and customers with a specific niche in women’s health and child welfare

  • *Note: You’ll notice the online studio is still “Yoga Dear.” That will be a slow phase out into the new name.

If this work isn’t for you anymore, that’s fine. It is okay to go. In my own life, I am committed to long-term deep study and growth, and that is what I’ll be offering moving forward. If you are looking for a cheap + quick service, then my work is not for you. If you are seeking to step into your worthiness, nourish yourself from the inside out, find body autonomy and self-acceptance, rest in fulfillment and ease, then these services are here for you. I am committed to regularly sharing the very best knowledge and experiences with you, because I know that what I (and so many other holistic practitioners) bring is necessary for the health of humanity.

If you love reading the content I’ve been sharing recently about women’s health, feminine approaches to leadership and business, embracing our whole beings (physical, energetic, emotional, sexual, spiritual, etc.), Ayurveda and the rhythms of nature, then please stay because the writing will only get hotter. ;)

With all of this, I do offer Free Resources to get you acquainted with my work. Check out the classes, meditations, and experiences here.

Yoga alone, at least the way we think of it in the West, doesn’t represent the full scope of my work anymore. Yet yoga and its sister science Ayurveda, are still at the roots of every service my business offers. It’s time that yoga gets out of the studios and off of more mats. It’s time that we really learn how to integrate it into our daily lives as individuals, partners, parents, colleagues, business owners, founders, leaders, fierce women, and beyond. While I no longer will be offering one:one yoga therapy, my group experiences and consulting services carry that thread at all times.

So are you with me? I feel elated and expansive for this new chapter, particularly as we prepare for baby Matullo #2, and I’m thrilled for those of you who want to go on this ride. I would love to hear from you, what you’re excited about in this body of work, and what pivots and changes you’re experiencing right now. Seriously, write to me.

With love,
Leanne

P.S. Oh! You can now write to me at hello@leannematullo.com or simply respond to this message.

P.P.S. I’m considering opening enrollment for Narrative again soon. Are you ready to feel nourished, while also being a bit challenged? Are you ready to finally commit to a weekly yoga and meditation practice? And, are you ready to learn how to move and flow with the rhythms of nature rather than forcing your life? Then, Narrative is for you. Three month commitment required. Write to me if you’d like to get free access to Narrative for three days, sample the classes, and see if it’s right for you.
